Charter Roofing is committed to being a leader in the commercial roofing and waterproofing industry.  We maintain this commitment by holding ourselves to the highest standards in the industry.  In accomplishing this goal, we have continued participation in relevant trade organizations and certification boards which, one of many is the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT):

The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas is a statewide trade association of roofing and waterproofing contractors. This group of professionals collectively represents the voice of the roofing and waterproofing industry in Texas.

RCAT’s mission is to help its members operate successfully by providing continuing education, industry contacts and networking, a forum for governmental and public relations and consumer awareness.

RCAT strives to further the success of it members through the following list of established goals:

  • Continuing education through regular programs and the annual conference and trade show.
  • An effective legislative program in Texas for the roofing industry.
  • The RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor Program.
  • An active consumer awareness program.

Recycling

We recycle most all scrap metal from our jobs – keeping it out of landfills.  Additionally, we recycle the construction debris from all our roofing jobs; including gravel from built up roofs, wooden pallets left over at job sites, plastics, roofing membranes and roofing shingles.  We are committed to helping building owners and property managers meet their sustainability goals today, and long into the future.

Cool Roofing

A cool roof reflects and emits the sun’s energy as light back to the sky instead of allowing it to enter the building below as heat. In many climate zones, a cool roof can substantially reduce the cooling load of the building, providing several direct benefits to the building owner and occupants.
